Shatil initiates cutting-edge social change through a combination of one-on-one consulting, group workshops and trainings, coalition-building, and fieldwork. Each year, more than 1,400 social-change organizations and grassroots groups come through our doors. Shatil’s multicultural, multilingual staff provides professional expertise in areas such as organizational and resource development, conflict transformation, advocacy and media relations, and project planning.  Shatil addresses a wide variety of issues, including religious pluralism; environmental, social and economic justice; and the rights of new immigrants, Arab communities, and the disadvantaged.

Shatil works to ensure that marginalized population groups and isolated geographic regions are brought into the broader public debate on issues that affect all Israeli citizens. And every time Shatil helps a community group or coalition advance its agenda, others are motivated to initiate change. Shatil is one of the most powerful vehicles for strengthening Israeli democracy.
