Professional Centers

Professional CentersIn order to provide the most up-to-date, effective capacity building services, Shatil employs the expertise of internal professional centers. Each center possesses exceptional practical knowledge in its focus area, ensuring that our consulting and programs are planned, framed and adapted according to the most advanced knowledge and skills available.

The Center for Policy Change (CPC) provides civil society agents with tailored, strategic outreach tools to integrate social change issues into the public debate. Capacity-building training, consultation, analysis of shifts in the public and media debates, ongoing development of new outreach techniques, and coalition-building enables social change agents to pursue strategic media and policy outreach. This allows them to maximize the impact of their initiatives on a national level, influencing public opinion, and bringing about policy change addressing Israel’s most pressing social needs.

The Conflict Transformation and Management Center (CTMC) harnesses conflict energy and strategically transforms it into positive change. In that vein, we consult with and train nonprofits to manage conflicts as they pursue their goals; we intervene in conflict situations to avoid escalation; we network with organizations dedicated to nonviolent conflict management; and we raise influential figures’ awareness to successful conflict management tools. CTMC gathers conflict knowledge from the world over and develops its own models for implementation in Israeli society. Ultimately, CTMC not only promotes de-escalation of potentially violent situations, but also offers up constructive, strategic actions in promoting justice and equality.
